In 120 innings, Mendes struck out 173 batters, walking 31 and holding opponents to a .218 batting average. Mendes was also named the ACC Pitcher of the Year and to numerous All-American teams.<\/p>\n<p>Beard was also good as FSU&#8217;s No. 2 starter after transferring in from FAU. In 68 innings pitched, he amassed a 4.50 ERA and a 6-1 record on the mound. He was named the ACC Pitcher of the Week during the week of March 16 as well.<\/p>\n<p>Should either be drafted in the second round, they would join a club of over 300 former Seminoles to have their name called. FSU had 11 total players drafted last year.
