{"id":743081,"date":"2026-07-04T18:00:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T18:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/743081\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T18:00:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T18:00:20","slug":"philadelphia-may-have-leaked-some-mlb-all-star-game-roster-decisions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/743081\/","title":{"rendered":"Philadelphia may have leaked some MLB All-Star Game roster decisions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The MLB\u2019s All-Star rosters aren\u2019t officially announced until Saturday night, but it seems the city of Philadelphia may have tipped the league\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the game being played on July 14 at Citizens Bank Park, some decorations have gone up around the city \u2014 and they aren\u2019t exactly subtle.<\/p>\n<p>As documented by <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/gerawaycar\/status\/2073079388766126548?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E2073079388766126548%7Ctwgr%5Ee40a49cf8b218a4f5e5b7143ba265fe976578d57%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fiframely.barstoolsports.com%2FP0QD0inr%3F_showcaption%3Dtruev%3D1app%3D1theme%3Dlight\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">X user @gerawaycar<\/a>, a slew of massive banners of players have gone up in the city, with some obvious and less-obvious names featured.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, Dodgers <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/04\/sports\/shohei-ohtani-removed-early-after-six-inning-start-in-dodgers-worry\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">reigning NL MVP Shohei Ohtani<\/a>, Pirates NL Cy Young winner Paul Skenes and Mets star Juan Soto are expected to get All-Star nods based on the photos.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Angels outfielder Mike Trout seems as though he will be an All-Star for a 12th time despite his .234 batting average.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:0.7173913;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39888018\" width=\"423\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Alvarez.png\" alt=\"Street banner featuring baseball player Yordan Alvarez.\" class=\"wp-image-39888018\"  \/>Seems you\u2019ll be seeing Yordan Alvarez on the AL\u2019s 2026 All-Star Game roster. @gerawaycar\/X<\/p>\n<p>Yankees ace Cam Schlittler also looks <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/02\/betting\/al-cy-young-odds-prediction-buy-the-dip-with-cam-schlittler\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">set for his first All-Star nod<\/a>, while Padres star closer Mason Miller looks primed for his second All-Star appearance.<\/p>\n<p>The aforementioned X user posted an entire thread of her findings online and seemed incredulous that the All-Star Game details were seemingly released ahead of time.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39817815\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/new-york-yankees-pitcher-cam-132268868.jpg\" alt=\"New York Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler walks to the bullpen at Fenway Park.\" class=\"wp-image-39817815\"  \/>The banners in Philadelphia suggest the Yankees Cam Schlittler is getting his first All-Star nod IMAGN IMAGES via Reuters Connect<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the city of Philadelphia just leaked some of the all stars,\u201d she wrote with four crying emojis.<\/p>\n<p>Either way, the AL and NL teams will be revealed officially at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Yankees have several All-Star hopefuls in Schlittler, first baseman Ben Rice, outfielder Cody Bellinger and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/07\/01\/sports\/aaron-judge-punts-on-injury-update-with-yankees-return-timeline-uncertain\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">perhaps Aaron Judge<\/a>, although he will not compete in the game due to his injury.<\/p>\n<p>Soto is the most-deserving candidate among the Mets, although reliever Luke Weaver has made a strong case.
