WASHINGTON \u2014 As long as Cam Schlittler gets through Saturday\u2019s start healthy \u2014 and finally gets the Yankees\u2019 blessing \u2014 the ball will be in John Schneider\u2019s hands, to give it to the Yankees ace on Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park.<\/p>\n
With one outing left before the All-Star break, Schlittler has put himself in a strong position to start the Midsummer Classic for the American League. <\/p>\n
That decision will be up to Schneider, the Blue Jays manager who is managing the AL team, given that the Yankees are OK with Schlittler pitching an inning on what would essentially be his between-starts bullpen day.<\/p>\n
