How fans watch Minnesota Wild games is changing this year, and the team is hoping to make access on television a little easier.<\/p>\n
The Wild announced Tuesday they’re launching an exclusive multimedia television network ahead of the 2026-27 season which will be fully managed in-house. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are extremely excited to launch our new multimedia television network,\u201d said Minnesota Wild Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President Mitch Helgerson. \u201cThis move is all about our fans and ensuring they continue to have reliable, direct access to our games, just as they have in previous seasons. We look forward to sharing additional details in the coming weeks as we prepare for the season ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n
The team will produce every regular season game that is not nationally televised by NHL exclusive broadcast partners.<\/p>\n
The team says that fans will be able to watch Wild games through a variety of options this season including cable, satellite, streaming services and over-the-air. The team has not determined how many games will be available for free on over-the-air TV.<\/p>\n
The games will continue to feature Anthony LaPanta as play-by-play announcer, Ryan Carter as lead analyst, Kevin Gorg as rink-side reporter, and Katie Storm and Wes Walz serving as the primary hosts of the Wild pre- and postgame shows. Alex Stalock and Lou Nanne will also serve as analysts for select games.<\/p>\n
Team officials add this will expand access to games with more details on availability, channel locations and pricing of a direct-to-consumer streaming option coming before the regular season begins on October 1 against Nashville.<\/p>\n
According to the NHL, the production partnership will initially include the Wild, the Carolina Hurricanes, the Columbus Blue Jackets and the St. Louis Blues, and additional clubs could join before the season.<\/p>\n
The move echoes similar changes made by the Minnesota Twins who also moved production of games in-house before the 2026 season. But there will be differences, and it had become harder for fans to find Wild games without expensive cable or satellite packages. <\/p>\n
FanDuel Sports Network, which is where Wild games had been airing, shut down operations in April 2026 after its parent company, Main Street Sports Group, failed to find a buyer or overcome severe financial pressures from cord-cutting and missed rights payments. That move sent a number of teams scrambling ahead of this upcoming season. <\/p>\n
