The southpaw allowed seven runs in five innings, with a trio of RBI extra-base hits accounting for six of the seven runs scored against Hitt in the first two innings. As Hitt settled in, his sequencing allowed him to pick up six strikeouts, as well as eight whiffs total. Braedon Karpathios drove in two of the Missions\u2019 five runs in the contest, with an RBI single in the fourth inning to put San Antonio on the board. Winyer Chourio pitched into the fourth inning, allowing two hits and one walk.\u00a0 Chourio actually faced the minimum through three innings, but allowed three baserunners with one out in the fourth. A walk, a hit batter, and two hits later, the Captains took a 2-1 lead on a single to right paired with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=tears-000kav&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=eastvillagetimes.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-07-23_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kavares Tears<\/a> throwing error. Cameron Nohos made his first start in the California desert, and the right-hander allowed six runs in three innings. Nohos walked two while striking out four. Home runs were the biggest issue for the right-hander, as he allowed two home runs in the game.
