CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) \u2013 For the 13th time in program history, the North Carolina Tar Heels will represent the Atlantic Coast Conference in the 2026 NCAA Baseball Super Regionals. North Carolina, which earned the No. 5 national seed, will host the USC Trojans in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for a best-of-three series beginning on Friday, June 5.

\nThe Tar Heels look to advance to the Men\u2019s College World Series for the second time in three seasons and ninth time in 20 years. North Carolina and USC will open the best-of-three series on Friday at 3 p.m. ET, before meeting again on Saturday, June 6, at 2 p.m. ET. If the teams have both won one game, the two squads will meet in a winner-take-all contest on Sunday, June 7, with the time to be determined. \u00a0

\nNorth Carolina swept through the Chapel Hill Regional on its way to the Super Regional round. The Tar Heels opened with a shutout 8-0 win over VCU, before winning back-to-back games over in-state rival East Carolina.

\nScott Forbes has led the Tar Heels to the NCAA Tournament in each of his six years as North Carolina\u2019s head coach, boasting an 18-14 record in the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels are one of two teams nationally to advance to a Super Regional in each of the last three years and one of two teams nationally to advance to Super Regionals in four of the last five seasons.

\n\tNorth Carolina (48-11-1, 22-8 ACC) will host the 2026 Chapel Hill Super Regional against USC (47-16, 20-10 Big Ten). The Super Regional appearance is the 13th in program history for the Tar Heels.
\n\tWith two wins in the Super Regional, North Carolina would post its first 50-win season since winning a program-record 59 games in 2013. The Tar Heels\u2019 current 48-win total marks the second time in three seasons they have reached that mark. North Carolina last reached 49 wins in 2017.
\n\tThe Tar Heels are one of two teams nationally to make three consecutive Super Regionals, alongside the Big 12\u2019s West Virginia. North Carolina and Tennessee are the only two teams nationally to have made a Super Regional in four of the last five seasons, dating back to 2022.
\n\tNorth Carolina extended its ACC-leading streak of nine consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances while hosting the Chapel Hill Regional. The Tar Heels hosted a regional for the third straight season and the 15th time in program history.
\n\tThe 2026 edition marks the 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament in which the ACC has placed at least six teams in the field and the seventh straight tournament with at least eight selections.
\n\tGeorgia Tech became the first ACC program since 2013 to win both the ACC regular-season and tournament championships in the same season. The Yellow Jackets hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time since 2019 and the 13th time in program history.
\n\tSince 2022, current ACC teams have advanced to the Super Regionals 20 times, ranking second among all conferences. The ACC\u2019s 20 Super Regional appearances during the stretch are more than the three closest conferences (Big 12, Big Ten and Sun Belt) combined.
\n\tAt least one ACC team has reached the Men\u2019s College World Series in each of the past 19 tournaments, while multiple ACC teams have advanced to Omaha 12 times during that span. The ACC has sent 36 teams to the MCWS over the last 19 tournaments, averaging nearly two participants per year.
\n\tBoston College finished the year with 37 wins, matching the program record set in 2005 and 2023. The Eagles\u2019 historic season was highlighted by their 13th NCAA Tournament appearance in the Athens Regional. <\/p>\n
