Heading into Monday, the Yankees seemingly still needed a catcher and bullpen help.<\/p>\n

They didn\u2019t walk away with either of those by the 6 p.m. deadline.<\/p>\n

The trade deadline came and went<\/a> with Brian Cashman making just two moves for platoon bats<\/a>, leaving Yankees fans saying, \u201cThat\u2019s all?!\u201d<\/p>\n

The more seismic move came late Monday night: The Yankees are set to promote top prospect George Lombard Jr.<\/a> to play shortstop. The 21-year old is likely to make his big league debut Tuesday night.
