On Thursday, the Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> will finish their series with the Washington Nationals<\/a> (at home).<\/p>\n

They are coming off a 10-4 loss on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

John Stolnis of The Good Phight wrote:<\/a> \u201cThe two relievers the Phillies acquired at the trade deadline\u2019s Wednesday night against the Nationals: Brooks Raley<\/a>: 1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 HR Caleb Kilian<\/a>: 0.1 IP, 1 H, 5 runs (4 ER), 2 BB, 1 K Allowed 7 of 11 batters to reach base, with Raley holding a 1-run lead and Kilian entering the 11th inning tied. Not ideal!\u201d<\/p>\n

The two relievers the Phillies acquired at the trade deadline\u2019s Wednesday night against the Nationals:<\/p>\n

Brooks Raley: 1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 HR
\nCaleb Kilian: 0.1 IP, 1 H, 5 runs (4 ER), 2 BB, 1 K<\/p>\n

Allowed 7 of 11 batters to reach base, with Raley holding a 1-run lead and Kilian<\/p>\n

UPDATE: The Phillies won 7-3.<\/p>\n

Phillies Player Becomes MLB Free Agent\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

During their series with the Nationals, news came out that Lou Trivino<\/a> had elected free agency.<\/p>\n

MLB.com wrote<\/a> (on August 5): \u201cRHP Lou Trivino III elected free agency.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trivino had been designated for assignment earlier this week.<\/p>\n

MLB.com wrote<\/a> (on August 3): \u201cPhiladelphia Phillies designated RHP Lou Trivino III for assignment.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old appeared in three games for the Phillies this season.<\/p>\n

Looking At Trivino\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Trivino was picked in the 11th round of the 2023 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He has spent part of seven seasons with the MLB with the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>, New York Yankees<\/a>, San Francisco Giants<\/a>, Baltimore Orioles<\/a> (and Phillies).<\/p>\n

Over 337 career games, Trivino has gone 24-27 with a 4.07 ERA.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see if anyone picks up Trivino before the end of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

While he has struggled this year, he is still a veteran with a lot of experience that could help a team with pitching depth.<\/p>\n

The Phillies are currently the second-place team in the National League East with a 61-54 record in 115 games.<\/p>\n

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games (and are 30-28 in 58 games at home).<\/p>\n
