{"id":773749,"date":"2026-08-09T01:39:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T01:39:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/773749\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T01:39:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T01:39:21","slug":"laramie-shut-out-to-open-little-league-mountain-region-wyosports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/773749\/","title":{"rendered":"Laramie shut out to open Little League Mountain Region | WyoSports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An overpowering first inning proved insurmountable for Laramie Little League.<\/p>\n<p>Paseo Verde Little League, from Henderson, Nevada, stopped Laramie, 12-0 (four innings) in the opening round of the Little League Mountain Region Tournament on Saturday in San Bernardino, California.<\/p>\n<p>Laramie will play Coal Creek Little League from Lafayette, Colorado, in a 7 p.m. Sunday elimination game.<\/p>\n<p>Paseo Verde cruised toward a 7-0 first-inning lead, including the first five runs scored via three walks and an error.<\/p>\n<p>That lead extended 8-0 after two innings, then 10-0 after three. Paseo Verde plated two runs in the third inning.<\/p>\n<p>It retired the side in order to earn the run-rule victory.<\/p>\n<p>Ryder Vasquez recorded Laramie\u2019s only hit.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyomingnews.com\/wyosports\/other_sports\/baseball\/it-is-pride-laramie-little-league-set-for-mountain-region-tournament\/article_37979ff5-d150-4b30-b5a5-3922f67981bc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Laramie rolled into the tournament with six consecutive wins, including a 4-3 win against Cody in the state championship.
