{"id":777337,"date":"2026-08-13T04:42:36","date_gmt":"2026-08-13T04:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/777337\/"},"modified":"2026-08-13T04:42:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-13T04:42:36","slug":"dodgers-freddie-freeman-exits-game-after-scary-fall-into-dugout-vs-royals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/777337\/","title":{"rendered":"Dodgers&#8217; Freddie Freeman Exits Game After Scary Fall Into Dugout vs Royals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"inline-text-0\" class=\"mt-[18px] md:mt-0 mb-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"93\">Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman fell into the opposing dugout in the top of the eighth inning of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/mlb\/dodgers\/onsi\/dodgers-lineup-vs-royals-tommy-edman-out-kyle-tucker-hitting-cleanup\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wednesday night&#8217;s game against the Kansas City Royals<\/a> in a scary scene at UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"96\">Freeman was trying to catch a foul ball on the first base side, and it kept carrying as it was coming down.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"99\">The ball ended up in the dugout, and Freeman fell over the steps and directly onto the dugout floor.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9c\">Freeman was down for a few moments but was able to get back up and walk back to first base, remaining in the game on defense. Miguel Rojas ran into the dugout to help him, as did multiple people from the Royals side.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1.5\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"9f\">Here&#8217;s a video of the play: <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Chasing a pop foul, Freddie Freeman falls down the stairs and into the dugout in a terrifying moment.
