\u2014<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"0\">Players\u2019 Weekend gave players from all 30 Major League Baseball teams a chance to showcase their personalities with customized bats, gloves and shoes.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"1\">The Kansas City Royals displayed some of their custom gear in the clubhouse Friday.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"2\">Carter Jensen, a Park Hill High School graduate, chose to honor Children\u2019s Mercy Kansas City, an organization close to his heart and home.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"3\">Jensen has returned several times this season to meet young patients. <\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">During a recent visit, he invited the children to decorate a pair of cleats with drawings and their names.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"5\">\u201cWe had Sharpies, and we just let the kids go wild on them,\u201d Jensen said.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">Jensen said the visits have given him perspective beyond baseball.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"7\">\u201cThere\u2019s real stuff going on in the world,\u201d he said. \u201cIf I\u2019m able to help spread some light and spread some happiness, then I\u2019ll do it every
