Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a> outfielder Teoscar Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> is going on the 10-day injured list due to a left groin strain, the team announced<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Hern\u00e1ndez sustained a Grade 1 adductor strain and will be “inactive for a while<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez, 32, suffered the injury in Monday’s 7-4 win<\/a> over the Miami Marlins<\/a>. According to Roberts, the right fielder felt tightness in his left leg while chasing down a line drive<\/a> by Javier Sanoja<\/a> in the third inning. Chris Taylor<\/a> replaced Hern\u00e1ndez in the field in the fourth.<\/p>\n

Prior to that play, Hern\u00e1ndez appeared to be fine while running the bases on an RBI double in the first and on a single in the third.<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez re-signed with the Dodgers in the offseason on a three-year, $66 million deal <\/a>and is off to an excellent start in 2025. He’s batting .315 with a .933 OPS, 10 doubles, nine homers and an MLB-leading 34 RBI in 136 PAs. In his first season with L.A., Hern\u00e1ndez hit 33 home runs with a .272\/.339\/.501 slash line, 32 doubles, 99 RBI and 12 stolen bases.<\/p>\n

To take Hern\u00e1ndez’s place on the roster, outfielder James Outman<\/a> was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City. Outman was hitting .254 with an .830 OPS, eight home runs, seven doubles and 27 RBI in 146 plate appearances before his promotion. Tommy Edman’s ankle injury<\/a>, in addition to poor hitting and little outfield play from Taylor (.217, .478 OPS) and Enrique Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> (.179, .661 OPS), necessitated Outman’s promotion.<\/p>\n

Outman started in center field for Tuesday’s matchup<\/a> with the Marlins with Andy Pages moving over to replace Hern\u00e1ndez in right field.<\/p>\n

Placing Hern\u00e1ndez on the IL and calling up Outman were among several moves the Dodgers made Tuesday. The team also recalled pitchers J.P. Feyereisen<\/a> and Landon Knack<\/a> from Triple-A.<\/p>\n

Feyereisen, 32, was in the Dodgers’ organization last season before signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> during the offseason. He was designated for assignment at the end of April and rejoined the Dodgers.<\/p>\n

Knack, 27, has bounced between Oklahoma City and Los Angeles this season, making three appearances (two starts) for the Dodgers, compiling a 7.27 ERA with seven strikeouts and six walks in 8 2\/3 innings.
