Aurora Health Care and the Milwaukee Brewers teamed up to give Aurora Health Care liver transplant patient Richie Frisco, 33, of Racine, a VIP “Brew Crew Call\u2011Up”\u00a0experience at Wednesday\u2019s Brewers game.<\/p>\n
Each month of the 2026 season has featured a call-up honoree, which provides a\u00a0special experience designed to give patients\u00a0exclusive behind\u2011the\u2011scenes access and once\u2011in\u2011a\u2011lifetime moments at\u00a0American Family Field.<\/p>\n

Testing revealed cirrhosis of the liver, a severe form of liver disease, meaning he would need a liver transplant.<\/p>\n On Christmas morning, a few weeks after being placed on the transplant list, Richie got the news he had been waiting for \u2013 he would be receiving a liver the following day. He received his liver transplant at Aurora St. Luke\u2019s Medical Center on Dec. 26, 2025.<\/p>\n Today, Richie is grateful for his donor and “a second chance at life,” and feels the healthiest he ever has. He appreciates his care team at Aurora St. Luke\u2019s, which is approaching an impactful milestone of performing 600 liver transplants.<\/p>\n SIGN UP TODAY: Get daily headlines, breaking news emails from FOX6 News<\/a><\/p>\n A fan of the Brewers <\/p>\n What we know:<\/p>\n Richie is a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and loves cheering on the team and attending games any chance he can.<\/p>\n As part of his “Brew Crew Call-Up” experience, he had special\u00a0access\u00a0to watch the Crew take part in\u00a0pre-game\u00a0batting practice, received scoreboard\u00a0recognition\u00a0and participated in the ceremonial\u00a0game\u00a0ball\u00a0delivery.<\/p>\n During the game, Richie visited the broadcast booth and took part in the Home Run Derby where he hit Wiffle balls into the Aurora Health Care Bullpen.
