The week started with the final regular-season meetings against the Cubs. The first matchup in that set saw Robert Gasser match up with Matthew Boyd<\/a> at American Family Field. The Cubs twirler was dominant early, getting through seven innings of one-run ball. Craig Counsell<\/a> rolled Boyd back out for the eighth\u2014a decision that would be costly, as Boyd left without recording an out in the frame. Instead, he left two runners on base, whom the Brewers cashed in against the Chicago bullpen. The Crew held on to win from there, thanks in no small part to great outfield defense.\n<\/p>\n
