(KCTV) &#8211; After nearly a month in Omaha, reliever Lucas Erceg has been recalled to the Kansas City Royals MLB roster.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Royals announced Monday that Erceg had been called back up to the MLB roster after he was optioned to Triple-A on Aug. 18.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Nearly a month in Triple-A resulted in Erceg pitching in nine games for the Storm Chasers. In 10.1 innings, Erceg had a 1.74 ERA and 13 strikeouts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In a corresponding move, Kansas City sent right-handed reliever Easton McGee back to Triple-A.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Erceg struggled throughout the 2026 season for Kansas City, which resulted in the organization sending him down. The 31-year-old is in his third season with the Royals after being acquired in a trade with the Athletics in 2024. This year, he\u2019s had a 6.23 ERA and a 1.89 WHIP in 43.1 innings for Kansas City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Royals have 12 games remaining in the 2026 season.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCTV.
