The St. Louis Cardinals avoided a third consecutive year of \u201csignificant decline\u201d in attendance, marking \u201cprogress\u201d given the direction the season could have gone, according to Derrick Goold of the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH. The Cardinals are slated to finish around 19th in the majors in attendance, as they did a year ago. Cardinals President of Business Operations Anuk Karunaratne said the team is \u201cpleased where it landed\u201d overall. He added while the team would like to be \u201cstronger,\u201d other indicators like tickets and the \u201cpositive sentiment of the fanbase\u201d show they are at a \u201csimilar place as we are on the baseball side.\u201d Kids\u2019 Sundays proved to be one of the summer\u2019s \u201cbiggest successes.\u201d The Cardinals reintroduced free entry into the kids\u2019 fan club. Karunaratne said that the team is \u201clooking to increase the number of those days.\u201d The Cardinals also \u201cexpanded\u201d their social media presence and \u201csaw benefits from the launch of Cardinals.TV<\/a>.\u201d The biggest example of the team\u2019s \u201cnimbleness\u201d was \u201cthe \u2018tarps off<\/a>\u2019 phenomenon.\u201d Smaller examples were the rapid response to RF Jordan Walker winning the Home Run Derby and rookie LF Joshua Baez\u2019s three-homer debut. Renewals and season-ticket sales for 2027 \u201chave begun.\u201d The Cardinals saw an 80% renewal rate coming into the 2026 season (ST.
