The Samsung Lions Futures Team will face the renowned Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) club, the SoftBank Hawks, in exhibition games to enhance the skills of its promising players.

According to the Samsung organization, the Samsung Futures Team will visit Fukuoka, Japan, on a 14-night, 15-day schedule from October 1 to 15, playing a total of five practice games against SoftBank’s third division team.

The game schedule covers both first and second division stadiums. From October 5 to 7, three games will be played at “Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka,” the home stadium of SoftBank’s first division team, while two games will take place on the 13th and 14th at “Tama Home Stadium Chikugo,” the home stadium of the second division. Additionally, two practice games against Japanese amateur teams are scheduled, and joint training with SoftBank’s third division team will be conducted during the training days from the 2nd to the 4th.

This exchange was made possible based on the connection between Futures Manager Moriya and the SoftBank organization. Samsung plans to evaluate and develop the skills of its low-year promising players through joint training and live games during this away schedule, while also allowing them to experience Japan’s advanced baseball infrastructure.

A Samsung organization official stated, “We consider it meaningful to hold exhibition games with SoftBank, a prestigious Japanese club,” adding, “Going forward, we will continue exchanges with the SoftBank organization in various aspects and maintain a close cooperative relationship.”
