And if you’re looking for some excitement, you know that the Padres are going to bring it.

The Padres caught fire near the end of the regular season and were leading the league in scoring down the final stretch of the season. In the final seven regular season games, San Diego recorded a whopping 50 runs.

Kicking off the postseason with an 8-0 win keeps that momentum rolling, and shows that no matter how long the Padres are in the playoffs, it’s going to be a good time.

The Padres will look to close out the Wild Card Series on Wednesday night when the Cubs return to Petco Park for Game 2. The first pitch is set for 10:00 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN.
