The tournament begins with regionals on Friday, May 29 running through June 1. After regionals, the field will be whittled down from 64 to 16 teams, and super regional play will commence. This year, supers will run from Friday, June 5 through Monday, June 8. The format for supers is a best of three series.<\/p>\n
Eight teams will make the College World Series, which airs on ESPN networks. The action at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha follows the conclusion of super regionals, starting on Friday, June 12 with the College World Series Finals\u2014a best of three series between the final two teams\u2014beginning on Saturday, June 20.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
