Los Angeles Dodgers owner Mark Walter is still selling his sports assets and is reportedly shopping the Los Angeles Sparks.<\/p>\n

Mark Walter\u2019s financial questions<\/p>\n

Walter has already sold the Los Angeles Lakers a year after buying the iconic franchise, for a record $10 billion valuation.<\/p>\n

Walter has also sold his stake in Chelsea Football Club, the British soccer team.<\/p>\n

The sales from his sports portfolio come as he faces federal investigations into his life insurance companies<\/a>, which may require Walter to repay billions in loans.<\/p>\n

These moves came one after another months ago, but since then, little has been reported or discussed about Walter\u2019s financial status.<\/p>\n

Now, Bloomberg released an exclusive report<\/a> claiming he is looking to sell the Sparks for reportedly $700 million.<\/p>\n

Sportico values the franchise at $400 million, but with a new $150 million practice facility opening and the WNBA\u2019s rise, Walter is looking for more.<\/p>\n

As he continues to sell off parts of his sports portfolio, Walter\u2019s biggest asset, the Los Angeles Dodgers, looms in the background.<\/p>\n

What does this mean for the Dodgers?<\/p>\n

So far, nothing\u2014no rumor or speculation\u2014 suggests Walter would consider selling the Dodgers unless it were his last resort.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers are his most profitable asset sports-wise and the crown jewel of his portfolio. To hear it from the Dodgers, or at least President Stand Kasten, the Dodgers are not going anywhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dodgers are not being sold,\u201d Kasten said back in August.<\/a> \u201cThey\u2019re not gonna be sold. They\u2019re not for sale. There\u2019s no process that has been started to sell it, period. We are planning only to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Kasten also said the \u201csports portfolio is going to remain intact,\u201d but as pieces start to sell, uncertainty about that portfolio\u2019s future will rise.<\/p>\n

For now, as far as Andrew Friedman knows, it is business as usual.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talked to Mark after we lost and he was obviously really disappointed but so much of his focus was on, \u2018OK, what can we do? What are our plans? What are our thoughts for the offseason?\u2019 Our brains weren\u2019t quite there yet, but so much of his focus was on how we put ourselves in the best position to win in \u201927,\u201d he told the media, including Dodgers Nation. <\/a><\/p>\n
