Washington College baseball player Luke Herz revealed he is fighting a battle with testicular cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past several weeks, I have been diagnosed with testicular cancer and tomorrow I go in to surgery to have the cancer removed,\u201d Herz, 22, shared via Instagram<\/a> on Wednesday, October 28. \u201cWe don\u2019t know much more yet so I am hoping to drum up some good thoughts and positive energy as I head into the next phase of this journey.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI thank you all for thinking of me and will keep you updated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Herz has not posted anything on social media since.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The student-athlete graduated from Washington College in May, which he celebrated with a carousel of photos on Instagram<\/a> featuring his parents, twin sister, Sydney, and girlfriend, Jules Dadurka.<\/p>\n

Herz played four seasons at Washington College, where he majored in environmental science.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Friends of Herz offered their support in the comments section of his Instagram post announcing his diagnosis.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThinking of you and the whole family right now!\u201d one person wrote. \u201cSending so much love and positive energy \ud83e\udd0d.\u201d<\/p>\n

A member of his girlfriend\u2019s family commented, \u201cPrayers are coming from the Utah part of Jules\u2019s family. If you are hers \u2014 you are ours.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGo kick that cancer\u2019s ass Luke, I know without a doubt you have the strength to do it.\ud83e\udee1\u2764\ufe0f,\u201d another follower wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Growing up, Luke and his sister routinely appeared on the mega-popular Bratayley YouTube channel, which featured parents Billy and Katie LeBlanc and their three children: Jules, Hayley and Caleb.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Caleb died in October 2015 at the age of 13 due to sudden cardiac arrest. Many of Luke\u2019s followers referenced his friendship with Caleb on his post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCaleb\u2019s gonna be watching over you through this whole thing,\u201d one fan wrote. \u201cSending prayers and positives thoughts through a smooth surgery and recovery. \ud83e\udd0d\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb\u201d<\/p>\n

Luke celebrated his girlfriend Jules\u2019 birthday with a celebratory social media post last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n
