Read our <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting-editorial-standards\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">editorial standards<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<p>Garrett Crochet looks like he is the next great pitcher in the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/article\/best-baseball-betting-sites\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">major leagues<\/a>, and he gets his first taste of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/07\/sports\/red-soxs-walker-buehler-has-blunt-assessment-after-yankees-disaster\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Red Sox-Yankees rivalry<\/a> Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>The Red Sox opened favorites to win the primetime game on Fox that features the Yankees starting southpaw Ryan Yarbrough, but it\u2019s a pick\u2019em at <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting\/betmgm-sign-up-offer\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BetMGM<\/a> as of early Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Crochet has been utterly dominant for the Red Sox in one of their few bright spots during a disappointing season.<\/p>\n<p>Crochet is among the Cy Young favorites in the American League, coming in with a 1.98 ERA and a 5-4 record, along with 101 strikeouts in just 82 innings pitched.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s been superb for a disappointing Red Sox team that has a team total ERA of 4.06 (11th-worst in baseball).<\/p>\n<p>Whether Crochet can actually help the Red Sox snag a win Saturday will likely depend on how deep he can pitch into the game.<\/p>\n<p>Fangraphs projected that the Red Sox had been a bit unlucky to be sitting at 30-34 through 64 games entering Friday \u2014 and they\u2019re now 30-35 after a<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/06\/06\/sports\/yankees-pound-red-sox-early-hold-off-late-comeback-in-win\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> 9-6 loss in The Bronx<\/a> \u2014 but they also weren\u2019t expecting a big change for the last 98 games, as they projected Boston to go 49-49 the rest of the way.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"36163662\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/mlb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/yankees-red-sox-prediction.jpg\" alt=\"New York Yankees pitcher throwing a baseball.\" class=\"wp-image-36163662\"  \/>New York Yankees pitcher Ryan Yarbrough has been strong since being called on in the rotation.
