However, the team is 5–8 in his starts due to an offense that ranks last in runs per game at home with under 3.3. He faces Phillies starter Cristopher Sanchez, who owns a 3.15 ERA with 10.1 strikeouts and one home run allowed per nine innings.

Pick: Phillies Moneyline +100 (Greg’s Handicap: Phillies -113)

1:40 PM Eastern

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Cincinnati Reds

Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen has struggled in a big way this season, posting a 5.13 ERA with 1.3 home runs and four walks per nine innings. Reds starter Brady Singer has also struggled, recording a 4.66 ERA with 3.7 walks per nine innings allowed, but he’s backed by a better bullpen. The Reds’ 4.04 bullpen ERA ranks 20th, while the Diamondbacks’ 5.25 bullpen ERA ranks 27th.

Pick: Reds Moneyline +122 (Greg’s Handicap: Reds -118)

2:10 PM Eastern

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Minnesota Twins

Blue Jays starter Bowden Francis leads the league in home runs allowed with 17 and carries a 5.84 ERA. However, his ERA drops to 3.62 with 1.3 home runs per nine innings allowed on the road, compared to 3.9 per nine at home. He faces a Twins lineup that has the second-fewest home runs per game at home in the American League (0.8). The Blue Jays average just 3.1 runs per game on the road, which ranks 26th. Twins starter Joe Ryan has a 2.91 ERA with 10.1 strikeouts and 1.6 walks per nine innings, and the bullpen ranks ninth in ERA at 3.38.

Pick: Under 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 7.6)

2:15 PM Eastern

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. St. Louis Cardinals

Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw is still rounding into form with a 5.17 ERA through four starts this season but has allowed three earned runs or fewer in each of his past three outings. Cardinals starter Michael McGreevy is making his sixth career appearance and has a 1.57 ERA with one home run allowed in 28 2/3 innings. The Dodgers’ scoring dips from 6.2 runs per game at home to 5.1 on the road.

Pick: Under 9 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 8.3)

4:05 PM Eastern

Atlanta Braves vs. San Francisco Giants

Braves starter Spencer Strider has struggled with a 5.68 ERA and five home runs allowed in four starts, but pitching in San Francisco should help mitigate the hard contact. Giants starter Landen Roupp has allowed just three earned runs across his past five starts and owns a 3.18 ERA on the season. He’s backed by a Giants bullpen with a league-best 2.38 ERA.

Pick: Under 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 7.4)

4:07 PM Eastern

Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels

Mariners starter George Kirby has been a mess since coming off the injured list, allowing 13 runs and three home runs in 13 2/3 innings across three starts. Angels starter Tyler Anderson is beginning to regress, giving up at least four earned runs in three of his past four starts. Even so, he holds a 4.99 fielding independent compared to a 3.86 ERA. The Angels bullpen has struggled, ranking 28th in ERA at 5.75.

Pick: Over 8.5 Runs (Greg’s Handicapped Total: 9.2)

7:10 PM Eastern

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

Red Sox starter Hunter Dobbins has a 3.39 fielding independent to go with a 4.09 ERA, which climbs to 4.50 on the road. He’s supported by a lineup that ranks sixth in scoring with over 4.7 runs per game. The Yankees are third in run creation at over 5.3 runs per game. Carlos Rodón gets the start for New York, owning a 2.49 ERA with just two runs allowed over his past four starts. However, the Yankees bullpen will be without closer Luke Weaver.

Picks: Boston Moneyline +190 and Over 8 Runs (Greg’s Handicap: Red Sox +170 and Total 8.6)

MLB Picks Today: Expert baseball handicapper Greg Peterson shares his top MLB picks today for Sunday, June 8.…

[3
5,44,4,163,164
0":"post-88413","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mlb","8":"tag-baseball","9":"tag-featured","10":"tag-mlb","11":"tag-mlb-best-bets","12":"tag-mlb-picks
["GET
