He didn\u2019t return to the majors again until 1971 when he was a September call-up. He was hitless in his first four games, but he broke through with a solo home run in the third inning off of Les Cain for his first home run.<\/p>\n<p>Carl Yastrzemski<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"Z5IV7IJG35DHFNAJJKPVBSI2LQ\">April 11, 1961 vs. Kansas City Athletics \u2014 On Opening Day of his rookie season against the A\u2019s, Yaz had a line drive single to left in the bottom of the second against Ray Hebert in his first career plate appearance.
