Duke guard Kon Knueppel and Washington State forward Cedric Coward recently worked out with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Knueppel was a second-team All-ACC selection as a freshman, averaging 14.4 points, four rebounds, 2.7 assists and one steal in 39 games on 40.6% shooting from 3-point range. He ranked seventh in the country in free-throw percentage (91.4) and ninth in win shares (6.9).

Coward was limited to six appearances due to a shoulder injury, averaging 17.7 points, seven rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.7 blocks. The senior registered a 7-foot, 2 1/4-inch wingspan at the combine and a 38 1/2-inch max vertical jump, the ninth-highest mark among all participants.

Last week, the New Orleans Pelicans brought in notable projected first-round picks Kon Knueppel and Cedric Coward for workouts, league sources told HoopsHype.

The Pelicans currently hold the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft, having finished the season with a 21-61 record. Knueppel and Coward are both projected to be lottery picks and should be available when the Pelicans are on the clock.

In addition to Knueppel and Coward, the Pelicans have also hosted predraft workouts with several other potential targets, including Nique Clifford (Colorado State), Egor Demin (BYU), Asa Newell (Georgia), Derik Queen (Maryland) and Will Riley (Illinois), among others.

The draft will feature a two-night format for the second consecutive year, with the first round scheduled for June 25 and the second round for June 26 in Brooklyn, New York.
