It seems the final member of the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team was revealed as photos of the first day of summer workouts were surfacing.

Zach Tow, a walk-on from last season’s team and Madisonville native, is seemingly back with the program for his second season under Mark Pope, who posted a photo of Tuesday’s conditioning tests, which included Tow in uniform.

Tow played high school ball at Madisonville North Hopkins and made the Sweet 16 in 2019. Last season in his first year under Pope, Tow only saw playing time in a blowout win for the home regular-season finale against LSU, then against Troy in the first round of the NCAA tournament, which would be Coach Pope’s first tournament win of his career, and at Kentucky.

Tow is the second walk-on to return to the team from last season’s roster after Walker Horn and Grant Darbyshire both entered the transfer portal. Horn ultimately returned, while Darbyshire ended up at Cincinnati.

Darbyshire was announced a new addition to the Bearcats basketball program on Tuesday. The 6-foot-2 guard joined the Kentucky roster ahead of the 2022-23 season under John Calipari.

The Cincinnati native played at Sycamore High School, so this will be a homecoming of sorts for the former Wildcat.
