The Golden State Warriors will have a familiar face returning to the coaching staff this season.

On Wednesday, the Santa Cruz Warriors announced their head coach, Nicholas Kerr, has been called up to rejoin the Golden State staff in the NBA. Kerr, the son of Steve Kerr, spent the last two seasons as the head coach in G League Santa Cruz.

From 2018 to 2021, Kerr held multiple roles with the Warriors, from assistant video coordinator, player development and head video coordinator.

Since joining the G League, Kerr has helped with the development of multiple Warriors, including Quinten Post, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Gui Santos and more.

With Kerr returning to the NBA staff, Warriors head video coordinator Lainn Wilson has been named the new head coach of the G League Santa Cruz.
