The Doug Davenport era is underway at Bellarmine, and the Knights added a new player on Thursday.Isaiah White, 9, was signed by the team as part of a partnership with Team Impact.White was diagnosed with Philadelphia-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) in March 2021, when he was just five.”He’s a six-star man,” Davenport said. “He’s very sweet. We’re really excited about it. With Isaiah, his parents, it is perfect.”Isaiah’s mom said they were excited to see him be part of a team again.”For him to be a part of a team again, I think is really special,” Christina White said.Isaiah is currently in remission and just completed third grade at Harmony Elementary School.
