The Philadelphia 76ers are looking to make a major splash in next week’s NBA Draft and are reportedly offering multiple future first-round picks to move up from the No. 3 spot for Dylan Harper.

According to Clutch Points NBA insider Brett Siegel, 76ers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey is willing to sell the farm to the San Antonio Spurs for the No. 2 pick to land the Rutgers guard.

“Multiple future first-round picks have been offered in exchange for the rights to take Harper, sources said,” Siegel reports. “However, the Spurs haven’t given any indications that they are seriously considering any offers to move out from this spot in the draft.”

Landing Harper would give the 76ers a dynamic backcourt with him, Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain. The move would also create questions about restricted free agent Quentin Grimes, who carried the scoring load when Maxey, Joel Embiid and Paul George were sidelined during the final months of the season.

The report comes as Harper’s Rutgers teammate, forward Ace Bailey, canceled a pre-draft workout with the 76ers just days before it was scheduled.

Bailey has yet to work out individually or meet with any teams before the draft, which has surprised many in NBA circles. Once considered a 76ers favorite with the third pick, Bailey has dropped out of the top three in many mock drafts.

Baylor guard VJ Edgecombe has emerged as the new favorite for the 76ers’ selection.
