The 2025 NBA draft is mere days away and the Philadelphia 76ers hold a lot of the cards with the No. 3 pick. There isn’t a clear read on what the Sixers plan to do with the selection as there is a school of thought that they will make a pick at No. 3 and keep it pushing or they trade down for more assets.

There are a lot of directions the Sixers can go in. They can look at Rutgers star Ace Bailey, Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe, or another player that President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey and his staff are thinking of. Either way, the Sixers need some young pieces as they head into this offseason.

In terms of who has worked out for the Sixers at this stage of the process, Cody Taylor of The Rookie Wire has it listed as this:

John Blackwell, Wisconsin – returning to college

The Sixers will be looking to bring in a young piece to a roster in need of an injection of youth, while also still competing for a championship in the 2025-26 season. Philadelphia will still be relying on the trio of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey to get the job done as time moves on.
