THE BUSIEST THEY HAVE EVER BEEN. YEAH GUYS. AND THERE’S SHIRTS, ALL TYPES OF SHIRTS HERE YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME HERE. THE SHELVES PRETTY STOCKED AS OF RIGHT NOW, BUT THERE’S BEEN PEOPLE IN AND OUT OF HERE ALL DAY LONG, SHIRTS JUST FLYING OFF THE SHELVES. THAT’S HOW EXCITED THUNDER FANS ARE, ESPECIALLY AHEAD OF GAME SEVEN. AND THE OWNER OF OPOLIS TOLD ME SHE KNOWS THAT ALL THESE SHIRTS COULD BE GONE IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. BAILEY IS MY STORE MANAGER AND SHE JOKED TODAY THAT THERE HAS BEEN A LINE AT THE DOOR WAITING FOR HER TO OPEN IT AT 11. LIKE EVERY DAY. IT FEELS LIKE SINCE APRIL, THE SUCCESS OF THE THUNDER CAUSING A RIPPLE EFFECT. WE’VE JUST BEEN THINKING WE’RE PRINTING ENOUGH AND THEN IT’S NEVER ENOUGH. LOCAL BUSINESSES LIKE OPOLIS CLOTHING SAY THEIR INVENTORY IS FULLY STOCKED EARLY IN THE MORNING. USUALLY, IF WE DROP A NEW SHIRT AND PEOPLE DON’T GET HERE AT NOON, IT’S GONE. SO IT’S JUST BEEN WILD. LIKE SOMETHING WE’VE NEVER SEEN, BUT GONE IN MINUTES AND THEY EXPECT THE SAME EXCITEMENT FROM THUNDER FANS GOING INTO GAME SEVEN. FRIDAY MORNING FANS FILLING THE STORE, PICKING OUT NEW GEAR. AND FOR THOSE AT OPOLIS, A LOCALLY OWNED STORE, THEY SAY THE REVENUE HAS BEEN HISTORIC. THEY PROBABLY FIVE X BECAUSE USUALLY, I MEAN, WE HAVE LIKE BIG. IF THERE’S BIG GAMES, WE’LL HAVE LIKE A BIG DAY OR HOME GAMES, BUT IT’S BEEN PROBABLY FIVE X OF A NORMAL JUNE AND A NORMAL MAY. NOW THEY’RE PLANNING 11 NEW DESIGNS. IF THE THUNDER CLINCH THE TITLE AND WILL OPEN THEIR DOORS MONDAY MORNING FOR FANS TO GET THEIR GEAR AND ENCOURAGE FANS TO SHOP LOCAL AND SUPPORT THE TEAM WITH THEM COME SUNDAY NIGHT. I THINK THEY WANTED EVERYBODY TO GET TO SEE IT. THEY WANTED TO DO IT IN FRONT OF US AND WE WANT TO BE THERE TO CHEER FOR THEM. NOW OPOLIS IS OPEN 11 TO 7 ON SATURDAY AND NOON TO FIVE ON SUNDAY. AND AGAIN IF THE THUNDER CAN DO IT, IF THEY WIN THAT TITLE, THEY WILL BE OPEN ON MONDAY WITH ALL OF THE NEW GEAR THAT THEY ARE READY TO LAUNCH.
