UConn Huskies guard Azzi Fudd has seemingly confirmed she is in a relationship with her former college teammate turned WNBA star Paige Buckers via an Instagram story

UConn Huskies guard Azzi Fudd has seemingly confirmed she is in a relationship with her former college teammate Paige Bueckers.
Bueckers and Fudd were part of Geno Auriemma’s 2024-25 Huskies side that returned UConn to the top of college basketball earlier this year when they won the NCAA Division I women’s basketball tournament by beating South Carolina 82-59.
The pair went off in the final, with Fudd scoring 24 points, whilst Bueckers added 17. The National Championship win also gave Bueckers her fairytale college career ending, setting her up to be drafted first overall in the WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Fudd, who attended the WNBA Draft with Bueckers, opted instead to return to UConn for her final year of eligibility.

And while there have been plenty of rumors about a potential relationship between the two, Fudd gave her followers on social media the strongest hint she and Bueckers are dating after she posted a story on her Instagram whilst getting her hair done.
The 22-year-old posted a story of her getting her hair done, captioning it: “The absolute best @haylesloganhair.”
However, upon closer inspection, Fudd’s phone case has a message on the back of it, which reads: “Paige Bueckers Girlfriend.”

And the post immediately sent WNBA fans into meltdown. One wrote on X: “AZZI FUDD HAS A PAIGE BUECKERS GIRLFRIEND CASE ON HOLY S—.”
A second said: “SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE’S DOINGGGGG.” A third wrote: “Im currently walking in the streets smiling at my phone i think ppl think im crazy.”
A fourth commented: “Clear as day she done hiding the fact she bagged THE baddest b—-.”
And a fifth wrote: “i’m just saying azzi fudd is an Icon for this ahdkshsj like you won the natty together and now you have her name on your phone case? that’s the gayest s— i’ve ever seen I LOVE THEM.”

While Fudd will be a key player in UConn’s title defense this coming season, Bueckers has taken to the WNBA in impressive fashion.
The former Huskies guard went off on Saturday night against the Connecticut Sun, with the Wings guard scoring 21 points in an 86-83 win.
Despite Dallas’ 3-11 record so far this season, Bueckers has all the makings of a franchise-changing star. She is averaging 18 points in her rookie season, with her best performance this year coming against the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup, where she dropped 35 points in a 93-80 defeat.
