It is officially NBA Draft week.

Whether you’ve been locked in on the process or are just now tuning in, here’s everything you need to know before the picks start rolling in.

About The 2025 NBA Draft

The draft will be returning to Barclays Center this season, the event’s home since 2013.

For the second year in a row, the first and second rounds are separated into two days. The first round begins at 6 p.m. (MT) on Wednesday.

There will be only 59 picks in this year’s draft. The Knicks had their second-round pick taken by the league after an investigation into the signing of Jalen Brunson back in 2022.

How To Watch The NBA Draft

The 2025 NBA Draft takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, June 25 and 26. Both rounds begin at 6 p.m. (MT).

Draft Projections

Many people say that this year’s draft begins at the third pick. Dallas will take Cooper Flagg at No. 1, and the Spurs are all but guaranteed to select Dylan Harper with the second overall pick.

The 76ers are the first team to have some question marks regarding their selection. However, the current favorite is Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe. Rutgers forward Ace Bailey has been seen as the third-best player in the class, but he has slid down draft boards recently after a questionable pre-draft process.

Other names expected to go in the top 10 include Tre Johnson, Kon Knueppel, Jeremiah Fears, Kasparas Jakucionis, and Khaman Maluach.

Will There Be Draft Night Trades?

It wouldn’t be an NBA Draft without trades. But what are the rumblings around the league?

At one point, it was reported that Philadelphia was open to moving down from the third pick as they look to win now with a healthy roster in 2025. Those talks have died down, at least in the public eye.

Washington, Brooklyn, and New Orleans have also been mentioned as teams looking to move into the top five. The Jazz are unlikely to trade up, but they’re even less likely to trade down.
