OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – The NBA season ended Sunday, June 22nd, with the once-former Seattle Supersonics, now the Oklahoma City Thunder, winning the 2025 championship.

The Indiana Pacers took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in a win-or-go-home for both teams game 7.

The game started as an offensive explosion from the Pacers’ star Tyrese Haliburton, hitting three straight threes, until he unfortunately tore his Achilles in the first quarter.

The second quarter was back and forth, the Thunder scoring 22 points to the Pacers’ 26 points.

Andrew Nembhard for the Pacers hit a stepback three to end the half, leading 47 to the Thunder’s 46.

The Thunder came out of halftime with a fire under them. Then, the Thunder outperformed on offense, 34 points to just 20 points from the Pacers.

Oklahoma City Thunder ended up taking the impressive win 103 to the Indiana Pacers 91.

With this win, the Thunder are just the third team in NBA history to win 84+ games in a season and a championship.

Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made history by being one of four players in a single season to win a regular season MVP, Finals MVP, and a scoring title.

With this title, this is the first championship in franchise history for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
