In exchange, the Celtics will receive 32-year-old forward Georges Niang from Atlanta.
Niang is from Methuen, Massachusetts and played high school basketball at Tilton School in New Hampshire. Niang is Tilton’s all-time leading scorer and led the Rams to the 2009 National Prep Championship.
Last year, Niang averaged 10 points per a game with the Hawks and Cavaliers.
The NBA Draft is scheduled to take place Wednesday at 8 p.m. on WMUR.
