Cooper Flagg’s 2025 NBA Draft Odds Reach Rare Air

Former Duke University forward Cooper Flagg‘s odds of being selected at No. 1 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft have reached -100,000 on multiple sportsbooks Wednesday (June 25) morning, hours before the event, ESPN reports.

Flagg, the national college player of the year and consensus All-American during his lone collegiate season in 2025, was reported to have odds varying from -50,000 on ESPN BET and -10,000 on BetMGM to -100,000 on FanDuel, Hard Rock Bet and Caesars Sportsbook, a price reserved for the biggest favorites in sports betting. San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama had previously climbed to -100,000 pre-draft odds in 2023 before being selected at No. 1 overall.

“The pricing of Flagg to go Number 1 overall is a function of our expectations that he will almost assuredly be the pick,” a trader for FanDuel confirmed in an email to ESPN. “While we all expect him to go No. 1, we want to make sure customers who are betting on the draft have the opportunity to bet on the most talked about player.”

Flagg has long been projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in Wednesday’s draft long before his lone collegiate basketball season as the No. 1 overall consensus prospect for the 2024 national recruiting cycle. The Dallas Mavericks hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, which will air live on ESPN and ABC on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. ET.

But I think it was probably to do with the sound. I’ve lost my sound man as a result.” \u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>“I think Roger just got lost. Roger’s finding it difficult," he continued. "I have to be careful what I say about Roger because he gets angry if I say anything about him at all. He’ll be sacking me next. But that’s not to say that he sacked Zak. It’s a decision Roger and I tried to make together, but it kind of got out of hand.”\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>Townshend went on to explain that Daltrey is the one who initially hired Starkey, and compared him to The Who’s original drummer \u003cstrong>Keith Moon\u003c/strong>. “I didn’t invite him in, right? Roger invited him,” he noted. “And at that time, I don’t know quite why he chose Zak, but Zak is another Keith Moon. He comes with real, real bonuses and real, real difficulties.”\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>Starkey’s dad, \u003ca href=\”https://www.iheart.com/artist/ringo-starr-31906/\” data-catalog-kind=\”ARTIST\” His publicist shared the sad news in a statement.\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>“Mick Ralphs, the influential guitarist, songwriter, and co-founder of the iconic rock bands Bad Company and Mott the Hoople, has passed away at the age of 81,” it reads. “He is survived by the love of his life, Susie Chavasse, his two children, three step-children and his beloved bandmates Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke. He also leaves behind millions of devoted fans and friends across the world.”\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>“Our Mick has passed, my heart just hit the ground," Bad Company vocalist Paul Rodgers added. "He has left us with exceptional songs and memories. He was my friend, my songwriting partner, an amazing and versatile guitarist who had the greatest sense of humor. Our last conversation a few days ago we shared a laugh but it won’t be our last. There are many memories of Mick that will create laughter. Condolences to everyone who loved him especially his one true love, Susie. I will see you in heaven.”\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>“He was a dear friend, a wonderful songwriter, and an exceptional guitarist," drummer Simon Kirke added. "We will miss him deeply.”\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>His \u003ca href=\”https://deadline.com/2025/06/mick-ralphs-dead-bad-company-mott-the-hoople-1236440291/\” target=\”_blank\”>\u003cstrong>cause of death was not revealed\u003c/strong>\u003c/a>; however, Ralphs suffered a severe stroke in 2016, shortly after playing his last show with Bad Company, that left him bedridden for the rest of his life. He was living in a nursing home at the time of his death.\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>The guitarist helped found Mott the Hoople in 1969 under the name the Doc Thomas Group. He was featured on the glam-rock band’s first six albums, which includes their most famous song, the \u003ca href=\”https://www.iheart.com/artist/david-bowie-27770/\” data-catalog-kind=\”ARTIST\” data-catalog-id=\”27770\” data-catalog-related-id=\”\”>\u003cstrong>David Bowie\u003c/strong>\u003c/a>-penned "All the Young Dudes." He left the band to form Bad Company in 1973.\u003c/p>\n\n\u003cp>Ralphs was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with Mott the Hoople.
