LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Nebraska men’s basketball team is set to take on New Mexico in the opening round of the 2025 Hall of Fame Classic, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Thursday.
Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on Nov. 20, with streaming available on Peacock and NBC Sports NOW.
The matchup pits two postseason squads from last season. The Huskers are coming off a 21-14 campaign that ended with a College Basketball Crown championship, while New Mexico went 27-8 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Lobos are led by new head coach Eric Olen, who guided UC San Diego to the NCAA Tournament earlier this year.
This will be just the second-ever meeting between Nebraska and New Mexico, with the last coming in the 2009 NIT, a game the Lobos won 83-71 in Albuquerque.
The other opening-round game will feature Kansas State vs. Mississippi State at 8:30 p.m. CT. The consolation and championship games will be played the next night, Friday, Nov. 21, with the same start times and streaming platforms.
