LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas Razorback forward Adou Thiero has been selected as the 36th pick out of the 2nd round of the NBA Draft.

Initially selected by the Brooklyn Nets, the 36th pick of this year was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Thiero was a 4-star prospect coming out of Quaker Valley High School in Pennsylvania.

He committed to the Kentucky Wildcats in 2022 where he played for 2 seasons. He transferred to the University of Arkansas and helped the basketball team navigate through the 2024 NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Thiero started 19 games out of 25 during his final year with the Wildcats.

As a junior, Thiero’s level of play rose while under Coach Calipari at Fayetteville.

His ability to impact games in various ways was met with a slight setback on February 22 after injuring his knee, but later came back during the Sweet 16 after 8 missed games.

Thiero averaged 15.1 points during his junior year at The Hill.
