MADISON, Wis. — Chucky Hepburn has reportedly signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors, according to ESPN’S Shams Charania.
A two-way contract in the NBA allows a player to split time between the NBA team and its G League affiliate. This type of contract is primarily used for younger players to gain experience and exposure to the NBA game, while also giving teams a cost-effective way to evaluate talent.
This past season for Louisville, Hepburn averaged 16.4 points, 5.8 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.5 rebounds in 34 games played.
Hepburn spent three years in a Wisconsin uniform where he started 103 games, and averaged 9.8 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.8 rebounds.
