Jahmai Mashack, a standout from the University of Tennessee men’s basketball team, was selected 59th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft. The Houston Rockets picked Mashack in the second round on Thursday night, but his rights are set to be traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in a proposed deal.

Mashack was the final pick of the draft, which concluded on the second day of the event. He became the 13th player selected from a Southeastern Conference (SEC) institution this year.

Mashack is the 57th player ever drafted from Tennessee and the third to be selected by Memphis. He joins Fred Jenkins, who was picked 129th in 1987, and Michael Brooks, who went 88th in 1985, on the list of Tennessee players drafted by the Grizzlies.
