Following the conclusion of the NBA draft, the NBA has announced the schedule for this year’s 2025 NBA Summer League, which gets started July 10 in Las Vegas.
There will be plenty to watch for the Detroit Pistons in Las Vegas this year. Although the Pistons didn’t have a first-round draft pick, they have plenty of young talent hungry for more opportunities to showcase their skill.
The Pistons will get started with a contest against the New York Knicks on July 11.
They’ll follow with matchups against the Houston Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves and first-round pick Joan Beringer and the Miami Heat and their newest addition Kasparas Jakucionis.
There will be a fifth game that has yet to be announced whether the Pistons advance to the semifinals or not. The Summer League Championship game will take place July 20 at 10 p.m. ET and air on ESPN.
At this point, we know last year’s NBA Draft picks Ron Holland II and Bobi Klintman are going to play key roles in the Pistons’ Summer League roster.
They’ll be joined by Detroit’s lone draft pick this year, Chaz Lanier, who was selected with the No. 37 overall pick on Thursday. The Pistons also reportedly added Lanier’s Tennessee backcourt partner, Zakai Zeigler, on a Summer League contract.
Marcus Sasser, Tolu Smith and Daniss Jenkins were members of last year’s Summer League roster and could possibly compete in Las Vegas again. The Pistons have yet to announce an official roster.
