Former Texas Tech basketball guard Chance McMillian signed an Exhibition 10 contract with the Golden State Warriors Friday.
The agreement with his home town NBA team ensures McMillian will become a member of the Warriors’ G-League affiliate team, the Santa Cruz Warriors, and compete in the NBA 2K26 Summer League. Furthermore, McMillian will play in the California Classic Summer League at Chase Center on July 5, 6 and 8.
Following the summer season, McMillian can be retained on the Warriors 15-man roster, and his contract will become a standard league minimum deal.
“It’s a dream come true to suit up for the squad I’ve always looked up to,” McMillian stated in a Tech Athletics news release Friday. “It’s crazy to think I’m a part of Dub Nation now.”
McMillian finished his final two years of eligibility at Tech as a member of head coach Grant McCasland’s inaugural squad.
During that time, McMillian helped the Red Raiders reach the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons. He shot a tied-for- team-best 71 three-pointers in 2025 en route to Tech’s Elite Eight appearance, according to Tech Athletics.
The California Classic Summer League will begin on July 5, with the NBA 2K26 Summer League tipping off July 10-20 at the University of Nevada.
