Chris Paul has a had a heck of a career. Since hitting his personal summit, he’s coasted from team to team raising the expectations and improving upon the previous year’s record for each.

Paul signed a one-year, $11 million deal with the Spurs this summer, choosing playing time over chasing a title.

On November 15, Paul joined John Stockton and Jason Kidd as the only players to log 12,000 career assists.

Paul passed Kidd for second all-time in career assists on December 8 and again passed Kidd in career steals on February 20.

In the season finale on April 13, Paul recording fifteen points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals, becoming the first player in NBA history to accumulate 23,000 points with at least 12,000 assists.

Paul started all 82 games, making him the first player to do that in year 20.

There’s no telling what CP3 and his family will decide in the offseason, but he has the ability to con tinge to play. With the addition of De’Aaron Fox, Paul could have less pressure on him as the Spurs continue on their trajectory.

For now, wish CP3 a happy 40th birthday and more to come.
