The biggest items on Presti’s to-do list are internal as stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren are extension eligible in July.

When does NBA free agency start?
NBA players and teams can begin coming to terms on a contract starting at 5 p.m. CT Monday, June 30, but contracts are not official until July 6.

After trading Dillon Jones to the Washington Wizards on June 28, the Thunder appears set to have 15 players on a standard contract entering the 2025-26 season.

The Thunder entered with 13 players under contract, but OKC is signing restricted free agents Jaylin Williams and Ajay Mitchell while parting ways with Jones.
First-round draft pick Thomas Sorber would likely fill the 15th spot, while second-round pick Brooks Barnhizer would appear to be bound for one of OKC’s three two-way roster spots.

Branden Carlson, Alex Ducas and Adam Flagler are each restricted free agents after being on a two-way deal, according to Spotrac.
Teams can carry 20 players on the roster in the offseason.
