General manager Sam Presti and the Thunder enter the offseason without an open roster spot or a key need to address in free agency.
The biggest items on Presti’s to-do list are internal as stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren are extension eligible.

NBA players and teams can begin coming to terms on a contract starting at 5 p.m. CT Monday, June 30, but contracts are not official until July 6.

After trading Dillon Jones to the Washington Wizards on June 28, the Thunder appears set to have 15 players on a standard contract entering the 2025-26 season.
The Thunder entered the offseason with 13 players under contract, but OKC is signing restricted free agents Jaylin Williams and Ajay Mitchell while parting ways with Jones.
First-round draft pick Thomas Sorber would likely fill the 15th spot, while second-round pick Brooks Barnhizer would appear to be bound for one of OKC’s three two-way roster spots.

He’s entering Year 1 of a four-year, $81-million deal.Ousmane Dieng: An overlooked piece of the Thunder’s 2022 draft, Dieng has starred for the OKC Blue in the G League but has only played 109 games in the NBA. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $21-million rookie contract. He is eligible for an extension.Luguentz Dort: The All-Defensive First Team player is entering Year 4 of a five-year, $82-million contract. He can be an unrestricted free agent before the 2027-28 season.Isaiah Hartenstein: The Thunder center was the team’s big free-agent splash last offseason, when he signed a three-year, $87-million deal with OKC. Hartenstein can become an unrestricted free agent before the 2027-28 season.Chet Holmgren: The former No. 2 overall pick, Holmgren is entering the fourth and final year of his $44.9-million rookie contract. He is eligible for an extension.Isaiah Joe: The 25-year-old guard from Fort Smith, Arkansas, is entering Year 2 of a four-year, $48-million contract he signed last offseason.Ajay Mitchell: The second-round guard from UC Santa Barbara looked very impressive as a rookie before being shut down for a long stretch due to injury. He agreed to a three-year contract for about $9 million on June 29.Thomas Sorber: The rookie big man from Georgetown could be a long-term replacement for Hartenstein.Nikola Topic: A draft lottery pick in 2024, Topic sat out all of last season while recovering from a torn ACL. Topic is entering Year 2 of a four-year, $23-million deal that would have him enter restricted free agency ahead of the 2028-29 season.Cason Wallace: Another former lottery pick, the 21-year-old guard out of Kentucky is entering Year 3 of a four-year, $24-million contract. Wallace can enter restricted free agency ahead of the 2027-28 season.Aaron Wiggins: The former Maryland guard is primed to keep saving basketball for the Thunder for the foreseeable future, thanks to a five-year, $45-million contract he signed last offseason.Jalen Williams: A first-time NBA All-Star this past season, Williams is entering the final year of his four-year, $20.3-million rookie contract. He is eligible for a contract extension.Jaylin Williams: The 23-year-old forward from Fort Smith, Arkansas, became a fan favorite in his first three seasons with the Thunder (and that was before his championship speech). The team declined his option to agree to a new three-year, $24-million deal on June 29.Kenrich Williams: The 30-year-old power forward is entering Year 3 of a five-year, $27.2-million contract. There is a club option for the 2026-27 season.

Branden Carlson, Alex Ducas and Adam Flagler are each restricted free agents after being on a two-way deal, according to Spotrac.
Teams can carry 20 players on the roster in the offseason.
