The Oklahoma City Thunder has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract with Ajay Mitchell that’s worth nearly $9 million.

ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal on Sunday. OKC declined Mitchell’s $3 million team option for the 2025-26 campaign to instead sign him to the new contract.

OKC selected Mitchell with the No. 38 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 23-year-old guard originally joined the team on a two-way contract but earned a standard deal in February by posting averages of 6.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 16.6 minutes.

Mitchell showcased great efficiency by going 49.5% from the field, 38.3% from deep and 82.9% from the free-throw line. He also made good decisions with the ball and provided hustle plays with his strong motor.

OKC is now set to bring back all of its rotational players from its championship run. It also agreed to a three-year, $24 million contract extension with backup big man Jaylin Williams on Sunday.
