CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Former University of Northern Iowa basketball player Tytan Anderson has joined the New Orleans Pelicans for the NBA Summer League.

Anderson, a native of Eldridge, Iowa, stood out in the 2024-25 season, earning First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors. He averaged 15.5 points per game and led the team in rebounds and shooting percentage. His performance also earned him the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.

The Pelicans will start their Summer League games on July 10 in Las Vegas, facing teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.

Anderson’s consistent scoring, including a career-high 27 points in two games last season, highlights his potential impact on the team.
