Tuesday morning, the newest members of the Celtics got their first taste of the Boston community.

The team’s 2025 draft picks led a basketball clinic at the Huntington Avenue YMCA, as the club unveiled its newly renovated courts.

“It was a really exciting day,” said first-round pick, Hugo Gonzalez. “Had a really good time with the kids and everything. Now just waiting for the next step and I’m really excited.”

“It’s always important just knowing you’re playing for the city, and not just yourself and your teammates but everyone around the community,” said second-round pick, Amari Williams. “It’s always important to be connected and show your appreciation.”

The trio is coming off the excitement of the draft, and now is eager to get to work

The rookies met with Joe Mazzulla Tuesday, as he laid the expectations for playing for a storied franchise.

” He said it’s going to be hard,” said second-round pick Max Shulga. “The most important thing is you have to play hard, play for your teammates. Have passion for the game and play like it means something to you.”
