BOSTON, Mass. — A 2-time All-American at Iowa, Luka Garza is moving to his third team in 5 seasons in the NBA. After spending the last 3 years with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Garza has signed a 2-year deal with the Boston Celtics, reportedly worth a guaranteed $5.5 million.

Garza was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 2021 and started 5 games during his first season in the league. He’s been with Minnesota the last 3 years, bouncing back and forth between the Timberwolves and their G-League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves.

Garza played in a career-high 39 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 3.5 points per game.
