What would it cost Detroit Pistons to trade up in 2025 NBA Draft?

Sam Vecenie of “Game Theory Podcast” walks Bryce and Omari through the potential costs the Pistons would need to make to move up in the NBA draft.

The Detroit Pistons will be looking for a new backup point guard in NBA free agency.

After joining the team at the trade deadline last year and helping solidify the backcourt, Dennis Schröder will not be back with the Pistons after agreeing to a deal the Sacramento Kings, according to The Athletic’s Fred Katz.

The specifics of the deal – like the years and the value – have not yet been reported.

Schröder became a vital part of the Pistons team that battled hard with the New York Knicks in the first round of the playoffs, helping fill the void left when Jaden Ivey was forced to miss the rest of the season with a broken leg.

The Pistons were able to add Schröder at the trade deadline for essentially nothing, joining in on a multi-team deal to absorb the veteran point guard’s deal as a salary dump.

Schröder quickly showed he was worth a lot more than that with the Pistons and had a lot of teams interested in signing him this offseason before ultimately ending up in Sacramento.

The Kings will be Schröder’s 10th team in his NBA career after being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 2013.
